Heading Home Volunteer Position Description

POSITION DETAILS

Position Title:  Heading Home Volunteer
Reports to:  Heading Home Project Coordinator
Location:  In either the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury or Penrith LGAs

Duties and Responsibilities
Survey Volunteers will work in teams to conduct the survey with people who are homeless across the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury or Penrith LGAs.

Skills and Knowledge
• Strong interpersonal skills based on mutual respect
• Ability to follow instructions and stick to task

Other Requirements
• Reasonable level of fitness – standing/walking in public space for up to four hours per day.
• Must be over 18 and with a mobile phone that has a camera.
• Availability and commitment to attend one of the compulsory training dates.

Please note:
People currently experiencing homelessness are not eligible to volunteer for this role as they are also considered survey participants.

It is critical that all volunteers maintain strict confidentiality and will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
